WE WILL NEVER FORGET

VERY IMPORTANT

There’s concerned about the hundreds of first responders who have failed to preserve their legal rights by simply registering with the Victim Compensation Fund. The strict deadline for those to file is October 3, 2013. If you have any friends or co-workers who are sick and who haven’t filed a claim, please talk to them now.

The James Zadroga 9/11 Health and Compensation Act of 2010 provided $2.8 billion for people who experienced pain and suffering or lost wages in connection with the airliner attacks at Ground Zero, the Pentagon or the Shanksville, Pa., crash site. The fund covers responders and debris removal crews, as well as anyone who lived or worked in or frequented lower Manhattan between Sept. 11, 2001, and May 30, 2002.

So far, 24,000 people have registered and nearly 8,000 have taken the next step of proving eligibility, but thousands more may qualify. If you know someone who has moved away and/or died, and may have qualified, please encourage them to register before it is too late.
